The Geometry of Truth
Before you verify facts, you must understand Truth.
Why we measure consensus instead of handing down verdicts.
“True” is a Binary. “Truth” is a Picture.
“Isn't the Truth Definitive?”
We are often asked: “Why does Veremet use a spectrum? Isn't the truth absolute? Something is either true or it isn't.”
We agree. Reality is not a matter of opinion. Gravity is definitive. History is definitive.
However, human understanding is fluid.
In a complex world, it is possible to say something that is factually “True” while telling a lie about the “Truth.” A statistic can be technically accurate (True) but cherry-picked to create a false narrative (Untruth).
This is why Veremet exists. We are not here to grade facts. We are here to restore context.
The Old Way: “The Oracle Model”
A small group of editors decides what is true behind closed doors. This is opaque and fragile.
The Veremet Way: “The Consensus Graph”
We do not hand down verdicts; we build a Public Intelligence Network that measures the stability of evidence.
Our Name is Our Methodology
Our philosophy is encoded in our name, a fusion of two ancient concepts:
The “True.” This is logical, scientific, and factual accuracy. It asks: Did this happen?
Example: “Prices rose 2%.”
The “Truth.” This is authentic, reliable, and moral stability. It asks: Is this the whole picture?
Example: “Prices rose 2% because of a global supply shock, not local policy.”
Veremet combines these to move us from “True” (isolated data points) to “Truth” (complete clarity).
The Architecture of Consensus
We don't use a Toggle:
We reject the binary “True/False” switch.
We use a Gauge:
Our Consensus Gauge visualizes the weight of evidence across a 7-level spectrum, from “Verified” to “False”.
We measure the stability of the truth. If a claim is “Under Review,” it doesn't mean reality is fluid—it means the evidence is currently insufficient to draw a definitive line.
The Consensus Spectrum
This is why we use a Gauge, not a Switch. Reality isn't always Red or Green. It is often “Under Review” or “Mixed Evidence.”
Validated by high-authority sources
Contested evidence; requires more data
Contradicted by primary evidence
From Chaos to Clarity
The Veremet logo, The Pure Arc, represents the journey from confusion (chaos) to the singularity of insight (the dot).
We allow our community of Verifiers to gather the pieces of the puzzle. We use AI to sort and analyze them. But ultimately, the goal is to help you see the full picture so you can make up your own mind.
Facts are cheap. Clarity is expensive. Let's find the Truth, Together.
This Is Not a Fact-Checker.
Fact-checkers tell you what to think. We built something different: a Public Intelligence Utility—an infrastructure for understanding, not a source of verdicts.
We don't own the truth. We surface it. Through transparent AI analysis, accountable human expertise, and an auditable Consensus Graph that shows its work at every step.
Welcome to a new category. Welcome to clarity.

Clarity Engine
Our AI-powered analysis workflow that evaluates provenance, identifies bias, and synthesizes evidence into actionable dossiers. It does the reading so you can do the thinking.
Consensus Gauge
A visual indicator showing the balance of supporting vs. contradicting evidence for any claim. It moves based on the weight of verified evidence, not the volume of opinions.
Consensus Graph
Our decentralized database of verified information—a living, interconnected web of evidence, sources, and community validations that grows smarter with every contribution.
Factfulness
Our philosophical foundation, inspired by Hans Rosling. It's the practice of recognizing and resisting the instincts that distort our worldview: the Gap, Negativity, Fear, and Single Perspective instincts.
Maven
A top-tier Verifier with a proven track record of accurate, high-quality evidence. Mavens earn additional privileges and influence through demonstrated expertise and accountability.
Public Intelligence Utility
The new category we're creating. Not a fact-checker. Not a social network. A transparent, community-powered infrastructure for establishing consensus through evidence and accountability.
Reputation Score
Your trust currency on the platform. Earned through evidence quality, community validation, and long-term accuracy. Higher reputation means greater influence on consensus.
The Verifiers
Our community identity. Truth-seekers who believe in questioning narratives, contributing evidence, and holding each other accountable. Not passive consumers—active participants in clarity.
Veremet
From 'Veritas' (Latin: logical truth) + 'Emet' (Hebrew: moral truth). Together, 'Truth-Truth'—a recognition that real consensus requires both the rigor of data and the nuance of human judgment.
The Factfulness Framework
Inspired by Hans Rosling, we build tools to combat the instincts that distort how we see the world
The Gap Instinct
The tendency to divide things into two distinct groups with an imagined gap between them.
We show data distributions and spectrums, not binary 'us vs. them' narratives.
The Negativity Instinct
The tendency to notice the bad more than the good—to focus on setbacks over progress.
We provide long-term context and trend data, revealing invisible progress.
The Fear Instinct
The tendency to pay more attention to frightening things and conflate perceived risk with actual risk.
We separate emotional impact from statistical reality through evidence.
The Single Perspective Instinct
The preference for simple explanations and single causes over complex, multi-source analysis.
We synthesize multiple viewpoints into unified, nuanced dossiers.
Why “Veremet”?
Veritas
Latin
Logical, scientific truth—the kind you can measure, test, and verify through evidence.
Emet
Hebrew
Authentic, moral truth—the kind that requires context, wisdom, and human understanding.
Together, they signify “Truth-Truth”—a recognition that real consensus requires both the rigor of data and the nuance of human judgment.
